After Pewdiepie surpassed T-Series at the beginning of April, his lead over T-Series peaked on 8 April 2019 with a subscriber gap of approximately 512000.

On 14 April, T-Series surpasses Pewdiepie. A possible reason for this was an ongoing lawsuit by T-Series against the two distracks uploaded by Pewdiepie. After several popular videos were published on T-Series' channel, the subgap grew at an increased rate. As of 29 April 2019, one day after Pewdiepie officially ended the competition in a video due to several controversies, the subscriber gap stands at over 1.2 million in favor of T-Series.

The Pewdiepie vs. T-Series competition is therefore generally regarded as being over.
